Ear Taxi Festival, a presentation of New Music Chicago, is a citywide, multi-day celebration of new and experimental musical traditions that features over 600 Chicago artists in 100 events at venues across Chicago. Reaching estimated audiences of over 10,000 through in-person and live-streamed performances, workshops, discussions, and receptions, Ear Taxi Festival 2021 elevates Chicago as an internationally recognized center for extraordinary musical and cultural innovation.
This evening’s concert features the world premiere of Janice Misurell-Mitchell's Resistant Noise (commissioned by Ear Taxi Festival), ~Nois saxophone quartet with Annika Socolofsky, the Wurtz-Berger Duo, and a duo performance by Ted Moore and Ben Roidl-Ward.

~Nois virtually returns to the University of Colorado, Boulder’s Pendulum New Music Series.
Join ~Nois as the quartet gives its first performance as a 2020/2021 Don Michael Randel Ensemble-in-Residence for UChicago Presents. This virtual concert will feature music by Marcos Balter, Viet Cuong, Georg Friedrich Haas, Pauline Oliveros, Gemma Peacocke, and UChicago’s own Sam Pluta.
